TORONTO'S HIDDEN STORIES, IN PLAIN SIGHT

FOOTNOTES TORONTO

About the Tour

Toronto is a city built in layers—above ground, underground, and everywhere in between—and most people walk right past the stories hiding in plain sight. Footnotes is a guided walking tour that reveals those layers through architecture, history, design — and the stories of money, power, and rebellion that shaped Canada’s biggest city.

Over the course of the walk, we explore the Financial District, the Civic Heritage District, the Cultural Corridor, the Adelaide art strip, and the Countercultural neighbourhoods around Queen West, Chinatown, and Kensington. You’ll hear about corporate rivalries, political showdowns, curious design choices, lost neighbourhoods, artistic flourishes, and personal stories connected to the city’s evolution.

It’s thoughtful without being heavy, fun without being fluffy, and packed with the kinds of details you’ll want to tell someone later.

All public bookings are done through our booking partner Airbnb Experiences. You'll be redirected to their platform to complete the booking.
